Uthappam or Uthappa is another super healthy breakfast from the South Indian cuisine and the batter is prepared using rice and urad daal. Uthappam allows you to incorporate some veggies in your kids diet making it more delicious. It is pretty filling and quick to make.

Ingredients to make Carrot Uthappam:

Dosa batter - 1 cup, 1 medium size carrot - grated, 1 medium size onion - inely chopped, 7-8 coriander leaves, oil - as per requirement.

Steps to make Carrot Uthappam:

1. Heat a non-stick tawa and keep it on medium flame, pour a ladleful of batter on the tawa and spread it in a circular motion.

2. try to keep the pancake little thick, dizzle some oil around the uthapam.

3. Once you see small droplets start appearing on the pancake, spinlle the vegetable and keep the flame low.

4. You can also cover the tawa with a lid if required.

5. Once the corners start lifting flip the pancake on the other side and drizzle some oil sround.

Serve hot with chutney.
