An exclusive Bengali preparation is perfect to serve along with rotis to your kid. Prepared in banana leaf, this paturi has a good blend of spices with parwal. It is also rich in vitamin C and iron.

6-7 parwals, 1 cup shredded coconut, 2 tbsp white mustard, 2 tbsp poppy seeds, 1 tbsp turmeric powder, 2 green chillies slit, 1 tbsp yogurt, mustard oil as required, salt to taste, sugar as required, 2 green chillies, 1 banana leaf
1. Make a paste of coconut, poppy seeds, mustard, green chillies, in blender.
2. Add the yogurt, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt, sugar and 1 tablespoon mustard oil. Mix it very well.
3. Marinate the parwal in turmeric powder and salt for 5 minutes.
4. Heat 1 teaspoon of mustard oil in a pan and cook the parwals by covering it with a lid.
5. Add the coconut yogurt mixture in parwals and keep it for 5 minutes.
6. Heat the banana leaf to soften it.
7. Keep the parwal along with spice mixture in banana leaf. Add green chillies.
8. Fold banana leaf and tie it with string. Heat a pan and brush it with oil. Place banana leaf in pan, cover with lid and cook for 5-6 minutes on medium flame.
9. Flip and cook from other side.
Serve hot with rice.
